Purpureastrum
Purpureastrum is the purple star at the center of the Froth System. The star derives its purple color from the massive amounts of argon contained in it. The star is 50% larger than the Earth's Sol and provides more direct heat on the planets; however, the visible light that reaches the planets is greatly reduced as a result of its color. The effect on the planets is similar to that of an overcast day on Earth, with everything bathed in a pinkish-purple hue. Purpureastrum supports 11 planets, though only two are able to support lifeforms of any kind (Gateus & Glaciesterra), with the latter being the only one suitable for human lifeforms.
The Uninhabited Planets
The Uninhabited Planets are the first 10 planets in the Froth System, named so because they cannot support human life. They consist of Arnoldus, Gateus, Herkimerus, Linconus, Montgomereus, Morganus, Porous, Sanctus Clarus, Schuylerrus, and Woosterrus respectively. The planets are claimed by the Grand Duke and set aside for scientific research and exploration. The classification is a bit of a misnomer. Gateus is able to support some indigenous flora and fauna, but the atmospheric and gravitational conditions make it impossible to support human life. It is also believed that life exists on Herkimerus, which is entirely covered in water, but exploration has proven difficult.
